
“Daemons of the Shadow Realm,” the dark fantasy manga by “Fullmetal Alchemist” creator Hiromu Arakawa, is officially getting an anime adaptation. Announced on July 6, 2025, the project will be handled by Studio Bones, with Aniplex overseeing production and distribution.
The manga, originally titled “Yomi no Tsugai” in Japan, began serialization in December 2021 in Monthly Shōnen Gangan. The story follows a boy named Yuru who lives in a remote village and uncovers supernatural entities known as Tsugai—guardians that lead him into a mystery spanning myth, magic, and destiny.
