Awareness Programs by Women’s Force in Athani, Belagavi

K Ramarajan, Superintendent of Police, Belagavi, said that an awareness programme was conducted by the Akka Squad in different parts of Athani police station limits on Thursday.

According to the SP, the awareness drive was organised at Nandgaon Avajikar English Medium School, Katageri village and Athani bus stand under the jurisdiction of Belagavi Police.

The programme focused on creating public awareness and educating students and citizens on safety, social responsibility, and public cooperation with the police department.

The tweet read, “Today, under the leadership of the women’s force, awareness programs were organized at Nandgaon Avajikar English Medium School in Athani Police Station limits, Katageri village, and Athani bus stand.”

Police personnel interacted with students, local residents, and commuters during the campaign and highlighted the importance of awareness initiatives in maintaining public safety and community participation.

Officials said such outreach programmes are being conducted regularly across different parts of Belagavi district to strengthen police-public engagement and spread awareness among youth and the general public.
