The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has officially invited bids for the role of Master Concessionaire at Dehradun Airport. The opportunity, announced for a 7-year concession, will allow the selected bidder to develop and operate Food & Beverage outlets at one of North India’s busiest aviation hubs.
The deadline for bid submission is June 22, 2026, according to AAI’s tender notice shared on AAI’s official site and eTender portal.
We saw the announcement gaining traction on social media, especially through the official handle @aaidoonairport, where updates are being shared to attract potential bidders. Our sources confirmed that the concession aims to create vibrant dining destinations for a growing passenger base. Dehradun Airport handled over 1.8 million passengers in 2025, a sharp rise compared to 1.2 million in 2023, showing steady growth in traffic.
“The idea is to transform the airport into a traveler-friendly space with modern dining options,” an AAI official told us. The concessionaire will be responsible for setting up outlets that cater to diverse tastes, from quick-service counters to sit-down restaurants. The plan is to enhance passenger experience while boosting non-aeronautical revenue streams.

Industry experts we talked to believe the timing is strategic. With Uttarakhand’s tourism sector expanding, especially in destinations like Mussoorie and Rishikesh, Dehradun Airport has become a gateway for millions of domestic and international visitors. Food and beverage outlets are expected to play a key role in shaping the airport’s identity as a hospitality-driven hub.
According to AAI, the concessionaire will be selected through a competitive bidding process. Interested parties must submit proposals before the June 22 deadline. The winning bidder will gain exclusive rights to operate F&B outlets across the airport’s terminals for the next seven years.
We talked to a hospitality consultant who said, “Airports are no longer just transit points. They’re lifestyle spaces. Whoever wins this concession will have a chance to set new benchmarks in airport dining.”
For details, bidders can visit AAI’s website or the Government eTender portal. The official social media embed from @aaidoonairport is expected to highlight updates and announcements throughout the bidding process.
