Not the First Time Sara Has Faced Fake Media
This is not the first time Sara Tendulkar has been targeted by synthetic content. She previously addressed similar issues when morphed photos showing her with cricketer Shubman Gill circulated online. In an Instagram statement at the time, she asked people to respect privacy and stop spreading manipulated content.
Her father, Sachin Tendulkar, also faced a similar problem when a fake video used an AI-generated clone of his voice and face to promote a fraudulent gaming app.
Despite government warnings telling social media platforms to remove fake AI posts within 24 hours, these clips continue to pop up. Online users and digital experts agree that social platforms must do a much better job flagging fake video content before it goes viral.
