The Rashtriya SSK Samaja has issued a nationwide petition asking the Centre, the Gujarat government, and all states to mark November 16 every year as Bhagavan Sri Sahasrarjuna Maharaja Jayanti.
We saw the Kannada poster list the Prime Minister’s Office, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and every chief minister as addressees. Our sources in the community note said the ask is official observance, not a private pooja calendar only.
SSK groups honour Sahasrarjuna, also spelled Sahasrarjun in some community material, as a historic kingly figure. The poster asks culture, education, home, social justice, and law ministries to treat November 16 as a formal jayanti date.

Gujarat gets a separate page of departments: general administration, home, education, finance, legal, revenue, and culture-linked offices. The community’s traditional centre is named as the body submitting the memo.
Members are told to forward the same text on WhatsApp to MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and secretariats. The footer asks for a peaceful, respectful send-out. Slogans on the sheet read “Jai Sahasrarjuna Maharaj,” “Jai SSK Samaja,” and “Jai Hind.”

No Central Gazette notice on this date was attached to the poster. The document is a community manavi, not a government order. Recipients still have to accept or decline the request through the usual offices.
Anyone forwarding the appeal should use the published wording and official contact channels, not fake letterheads. Watch for any PMO or Gujarat Culture Department reply before calling the jayanti “declared.”
