Hubli’s Aakash Nawalgi takes PML title gold, club puts up ₹20,000

Aakash Nawalgi of Hubli after winning gold at the PML Title Belt Championship in Mumbai

Aakash Nawalgi of Hubli won the gold medal at the PML Title Belt Championship on September 27, 2026. The card was held at Buddha Vihar Convention, Mira Bhavan, in Mumbai. The Hubli ICONS 315 Club of 41ers is putting ₹20,000 toward his future events.

Chairman Dr. Pramod Hiremath and Vice Chairman Amit Belamkar announced the sponsorship. Hiremath said Nawalgi’s hard work and determination had paid off, and that the gold showed skill and sportsmanship in the chase for the PML title belt. The club tied the money to what he does next, not to the trip already finished in Mumbai.

Hubli Icons Club 315 is a new unit of 41 Clubs of India. Area 10 chartered it on October 4, 2025. Both officers carry the 41er title in the club note that went out with the sponsorship. A year on from that charter, the gold medal and the ₹20,000 grant are the first athlete backing the club has put its name to in public.

The belt and the grant

The championship sits under the PML title belt, and the club treated Nawalgi’s win as the main bout of the day for Hubli. Congratulations in the note are aimed at the medal and at the way he fought for it. The ₹20,000 is framed as support for the next stretch of his career, so the club is staying with him past a single Sunday in Mumbai.

Hiremath’s line is plain. The work showed. The belt is his. Belamkar is named beside him as vice chairman, so the grant is a club decision, not a personal cheque slipped in after the result. For a club chartered in October 2025, a title-belt gold from a Hubli fighter is an early public mark, and the money says they mean to keep the link.

Nawalgi goes home with the gold from Mira Bhavan and with ₹20,000 set aside for the events still in front of him. The club’s closing note is a straight congratulations on the belt.
