Hubballi SSK Youth Starts First Dandiya Raas 2026 in Venkateshwara Nagar

The SSK Youth Association launched the first Dandiya Raas-2026 in Hubballi’s Venkateshwara Nagar on October 13, 2026. Organizers opened the two-day Dasara event with a puja to Mother Durga.

Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation member Chetan Hirekerur and SSK Youth Association president Yellappa Meherwade led the start. Lakshman Katave, Raju Nayakwadi and other association members joined them.

The program runs on October 13 and 14. The Instagram reel from the event said the new Dandiya aims to raise festival spirit in Venkateshwara Nagar and strengthen local cultural ties during Dasara.

SSK groups in Hubballi and nearby towns already hold sports meets, temple programs and community events for the festival. This marks the first Dandiya Raas the Venkateshwara Nagar youth unit has staged.

SSK groups also plan home visits for elders over 90

A separate SSK effort in Hubballi is lining up home visits to honor community members who have crossed 90. SSK Mitra Balaga will handle the visits, with former HUDA president Nagesh Kalaburgi in charge.

The notice went out on October 2, 2026, and organizers plan to meet each elder at home rather than call people to a hall.
