The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) has declared the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination 2023 on May 19, 2023. The results can be checked on the official website of the board, mbse.edu.in.
A total of 19,379 students appeared for the HSSLC examination this year, out of which 17,850 have passed. The pass percentage is 92.24%.
The highest marks in the HSSLC examination have been secured by Lalremsanga of St. Paul’s Higher Secondary School, Aizawl, with 499 marks. He has been placed first in the merit list.
The second position has been shared by Lalremkima of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Aizawl, and Vanlalthangliana of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Lunglei, with 498 marks each.
The third position has been secured by Lalnunmawia of St. Edmund’s Higher Secondary School, Champhai, with 497 marks.
The MBSE HSSLC examination was conducted from March 1 to March 15, 2023. The exam was conducted in two shifts, morning and afternoon. The morning shift was for the science stream and the afternoon shift was for the arts and commerce streams.
The HSSLC examination is a compulsory examination for all students in Mizoram who want to pursue higher education. The exam is conducted by the MBSE every year in the month of March.
The students who have passed the HSSLC examination can now apply for admission to various undergraduate courses offered by colleges and universities in Mizoram and other parts of the country.
The MBSE has also released the pass percentage of different streams. The pass percentage of the science stream is 94.34%, the arts stream is 90.52%, and the commerce stream is 89.25%.
The MBSE has congratulated all the students who have passed the HSSLC examination and wished them all the best for their future endeavors.
