“Rick & Morty” Brings Unity Back From Season 2
“Rick and Morty” season 7, episode 3, “Air Force Wong” brings back a classic series villain: Unity.
The episode 3 titled “Air Force Wong” of “Rick and Morty” season 7 has revived one of the known villains of the show that is ‘Unity’. We first saw her in “Rick and Morty” season 2, episode 3 titled “Auto Erotic Assimilation.
She was an ex-lover of Rick, but she is very dangerous because she has a hive mind similar to bee’s and can assimilate the entire Earth in her consciousness.
However she was defeated in season 2 itself but with her coming back in this season, she must have an evil plan. Unity decided to wait in Virginia to find Rick.
But during her stay in that state she assimilates the entire state in her consciousness and creates an isolated place.
The episode shows that the President commands a team to free the state and on the other hand Rick understands that this was Unity’s work.
Unity in “Rick & Morty” Season 7 More Dangerous Than Ever
Unity was already considered one of the threats in the “Rick and Morty” universe due to her possession of a hive mind. However things take a turn when a particular aspect of the episode is unveiled.
As the episode concludes the President manages to gain control over all the Virginians who were previously under Unity’s dominion by infiltrating her hive mind.
Even though Rick succeeds in thwarting the President’s plans, this development gives rise to possibilities. Despite Unity’s ability to conquer planets, her relationship with Rick undoubtedly makes people think that she is evil.
Nevertheless if someone were to take control of Unity’s mind from her it opens up the potential for an even more dangerous individual to seize command and exploit Unity’s powers for even greater devastation.
Defeating Unity is already a task but it becomes even more challenging when faced with an even greater evil, like Rick Prime. The possibility of this storyline unfolding, in episodes of “Rick and Morty” in season 7 adds to the rising popularity of the show.
