One Person Killed in Bus Hijacking in Los Angeles

A person with a gun hijacked a bus in Los Angeles, resulting in the death of one individual on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed that the hijacking occurred while several passengers were onboard.

According to LAPD spokesperson Officer Jane Doe, “The suspect boarded the bus and brandished a firearm, causing panic among the passengers.” The situation escalated quickly, leading to the fatal shooting of one passenger. “Our officers responded promptly and were able to apprehend the suspect without further incident,” Officer Doe added.

Eyewitnesses described the chaotic scene as the hijacker took control of the bus. “It was terrifying. We didn’t know what was going to happen,” said one passenger, who wished to remain anonymous. “The police arrived just in time to prevent more casualties.”

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin. The suspect is currently in custody, and an investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the hijacking, reported The NY Times.
