Exactly 9,02,889 students registered for the exams this year. This includes 8,12,855 freshers. We saw the board tighten security across 2,871 centres during the March 18 to April 2 testing window. Students need a minimum of 35% in each subject to pass. High stakes.
The Karnataka Education board already published the PUC on April 9, 2026.
Will students be awarded marks or grades for the third language paper, Bangarappa said, “We will have to follow the court order this time. Further details will follow.”
He added, the Karnataka CM has been notified of some concerns. “He (CM) is very happy with the results. He has given us some directions. Officials were also present, and the Advocate General was present as the matter involved court directions. We have taken everything into account in the interest of students.”
He said, “Answers will be given during the results tomorrow.”
The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday declined to hear the state government’s plea to review its April 15 ruling, which mandated that SSLC exams be graded according to the established regulations.
