Mysore Sandal just smashed every record in its 109-year history. The iconic brand reached a massive ₹2,016 crore turnover for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
Karnataka Industries Minister MB Patil broke the news during the ‘Mysore Sandal’s Peak of Achievement’ event in Bengaluru. This legendary company took over a century to hit the first ₹1,000 crore mark. It doubled that figure in only four years. Pure momentum.
Production hit a staggering 48,496 metric tonnes this year. According to Minister MB Patil , the Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL) also pocketed a net profit of ₹507 crore.
They did this without adding a single new machine. No extra staff were hired either. The team simply squeezed more efficiency out of what they already had. April 28, 2026.
How did they double the money?
KSDL managed to jump from ₹1,000 crore to over ₹2,000 crore turnover in record time. Minister Patil pointed out that the 2024-25 profit was ₹451 crore. Crossing the ₹500 crore profit barrier now marks a new era for the state-owned giant. The leadership focused on aggressive market expansion and better supply chain moves. They proved that government-run firms can compete with private giants.
