DK Shivakumar stressed that Bengaluru’s future depends on infrastructure projects that make daily life easier for citizens. He described Namma Metro as a crucial part of the city’s growth story and praised its role in improving connectivity.
“Bengaluru belongs to all of us, and its future depends on solutions that make everyday life easier, more connected, and more accessible for every citizen,” he stated.
Namma Metro remains one of the busiest urban transit systems in India. BMRCL data shows that daily ridership frequently exceeds 8 lakh passengers on working days, reflecting the growing dependence on metro services in Bengaluru.
Our sources confirmed that commuters welcomed the opportunity to interact with the Deputy Chief Minister during the journey. Many passengers expressed appreciation for leaders engaging directly with citizens outside formal events.
“Public service begins with listening, learning, and staying connected to the aspirations of our people,” Shivakumar added while thanking citizens for their warm response.
The Karnataka government is currently pursuing multiple metro expansion projects aimed at easing traffic congestion and strengthening public transport infrastructure across Bengaluru. Shivakumar concluded his message by calling for collective efforts to build a stronger, more accessible, and people-friendly Karnataka.
