Sri Vishwakarma Temple in Mahaveer Galli, Ward 65, Hubballi East, hosted a Vishwakarma Puja Mahotsava on Thursday, September 17, 2026. We saw devotees take darshan and offer special puja at the shrine. Our sources said a grand shobhayatra also started from the temple lane.
Hubballi East MLA Prasad Abbayya performed the guddali puja for temple renovation. He also chairs the Karnataka Kolageri Development Board. The announced outlay for the repair work is ₹50 lakh.
Mahaveer Galli was packed with community leaders for the rites. Corporator Ramanna Badiger stood with Vishwakarma Samaja office-bearers. Pictures from the puja, procession, and groundbreaking are included in this article.
Ward 65 falls under the Hubballi East assembly seat. Local families treat Vishwakarma Jayanti as both worship and a trade-community gathering. The temple committee used the festival day to start the renovation.
Hubballi Temple Gets ₹50 Lakh Renovation Start on Puja Day
Abbayya lit the work with the traditional guddali offering. Speakers framed the spend as support for a religious site in the ward. Devotees asked for the rebuild to move forward without long delay.
The shobhayatra left the temple after darshan. Drums and banners filled Mahaveer Galli before the groundbreaking. We saw the same crowd stay for both the puja and the site ritual.
₹50 lakh is the figure printed for the jeernoddhara work. No extra items, tenders, or completion date were listed in the note shared with the photos. The temple still needs the usual civic clearances before heavy civil work.
Ramanna Badiger and other Vishwakarma leaders joined the MLA on the dais. Organizers closed with a wish that devotees’ support keep the project moving.
