RedMagic will launch the RedMagic 12 Pro+ gaming smartphone in China on October 15, 2026. The company has set the event for 2:30 p.m. local time. Buyers can already place reservations on the official RedMagic website and on JD.com, though the final price has not been shared yet.

The phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. RedMagic says this is one of the first devices to use the new chipset. The company has also confirmed several design and cooling details ahead of the launch.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 gaming performance

Confirmed features include:

  • An under-display front camera that leaves the screen free of any notch or punch-hole
  • A flat display with bezels cut to 0.96 mm, down from 1.25 mm on the previous model
  • A thinner, lighter and narrower body with softer, more rounded edges
  • An RGB liquid-cooling system that uses fluorinated liquid in a dual-loop design, paired with an active fan
  • A transparent-style rear panel with the camera module sitting flush with the back
  • Dual stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos

RedMagic has shown three color options so far: Transparent Dark Night, Transparent Ice Blue and Transparent Silver Wing. The company says the new cooling system covers the main heat sources inside the phone and is meant to keep performance steady during long gaming sessions. It has also pointed to ninth-generation under-display camera technology that improves the full-screen look.

A prototype of the phone previously appeared on Geekbench running the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The test gave an early look at the chip’s speed, though final retail units may differ. RedMagic has not yet published full battery capacity, charging speeds, RAM and storage options, or the exact price. Global and India availability dates are also still unconfirmed.

RedMagic 12 Pro+ design and availability

In past years the brand has usually brought its China Pro+ models to other markets within a few weeks. No official timeline has been given for the 12 Pro+ outside China. The phone continues RedMagic’s focus on high-refresh-rate displays and active cooling for players who want sustained performance rather than a conventional flagship camera setup.

The October 15 event is expected to fill in the remaining specifications and pricing.
