Apple opened pre-orders for the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone, on October 16, 2026. The device goes on sale in more than 70 countries on October 23, with another 28 markets following on October 30.
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for the 256GB model in the United States. Higher storage options cost $2,199 for 512GB, $2,599 for 1TB, and $3,199 for 2TB.
It comes in two colors, star white and Night Sky. Apple lists monthly financing from $83.29 over 24 months for the base model. The phone is eSIM-only worldwide.
When closed, the phone uses a 5.4-inch outer Super Retina XDR display. It unfolds to a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR screen that Apple says is 50 percent larger than the display on the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The inner screen has a nano-texture finish intended to reduce glare and make the crease less visible. The device measures 5.2 mm thick when open, which Apple calls the thinnest iPhone yet. Folded, it is 11.3 mm thick and weighs 254 grams. It carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The iPhone Duo marks Apple’s entry into the book-style foldable category after years of rumors. The company has positioned the device around a large canvas for multitasking and media, with software features such as Split View on the inner display.
