OnePlus launched the OnePlus 16 in China on October 12, 2026. The phone went on sale the next day and starts at CNY 5,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model.
The top version with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is priced at CNY 8,499. OnePlus reported that more than 70,000 units sold in the first hour of availability in China. The company has not announced a global or India launch date.
The OnePlus 16 uses a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display that runs up to 165Hz in normal use and reaches 185Hz in supported games. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip and comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The phone runs ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.
OnePlus 16 battery, camera and key specs
The battery is rated at 9,000mAh and supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. OnePlus says the phone can reach 80 percent charge in about 37 minutes. The rear camera setup includes a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP 3x telephoto. The front camera is 50MP. The phone has IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings and weighs around 217–220 grams.

Available colors are Starlight, Martian Masterpiece and Dark Forest. OnePlus 16 India launch status
OnePlus has not confirmed whether the regular OnePlus 16 will reach India. Some reports suggest the company may bring a different model, such as a OnePlus 16R, at a later date. Until OnePlus announces an India timeline, the phone remains a China-only release. Buyers in other markets can only track China pricing and early user reports for now.
