It has now developed a website targeted at prospective American residents in the wake of the November 5 vote. The website offers affordable residences, hoping to attract individuals disappointed by the election to buy its vacant properties.

In the past, Ollolai has attempted to attract new residents with attractive housing developments. CNN was the first to disclose that the town government began selling run-down, vacant houses for one euro in 2018.

It then proceeded to charge a symbolic one euro to rent vacant workspaces. Last but not least, it began offering digital nomads a “work from Ollolai” program last year. For a symbolic one euro, four Americans have so far been housed in completely furnished apartments.

A secluded paradise

Off the main path, Ollolai is perfect for people who wish to disconnect and have a more straightforward existence. Situated in an uncontrolled mountainous area. It stands on a beautiful plot of land where people continue practicing long-standing farming customs.

It has wonderful vistas, few people, and clean, pure air. Stables and historic grass bars are accessible to the public during an event known as the cortes apertas (open courtyards) in the fall, serving wine, ham, cheese, and other treats.
