CHITRADURGA, May 31, 2026 — Karnataka Minister Govind Karjol on Sunday met farmers and members of the public at his residence in Chitradurga, where he personally heard complaints related to agriculture, civic services, and local development. The meeting was held to address long-pending issues and ensure faster action from government departments.

Several residents gathered at the minister’s residence during the public interaction program. Farmers spoke about concerns affecting their daily lives, while citizens raised issues connected to essential services and infrastructure.

“Today, I met farmer brothers and members of the public at my residence in Chitradurga and listened to their grievances. I immediately discussed the issues with senior officials of the concerned departments over the phone and instructed them to take prompt action and find solutions at the earliest,” the minister said in a social media post.

The related social media post has been receiving attention online, with many local residents welcoming the minister’s direct intervention in public matters.

People familiar with the meeting said officials from multiple departments were contacted while discussions were underway. Such direct communication, they noted, can help reduce delays that often affect grievance redressal.

Chitradurga is home to thousands of farming families, making agriculture one of the district’s most important economic activities. Water management, crop-related support, road connectivity, and access to government services continue to rank among the most common concerns raised by rural communities.

Karjol also reiterated his commitment to the constituency.

“I remain committed to being the voice of every citizen in the constituency and to the overall development of Chitradurga,” he stated.

Public grievance meetings have become a regular feature in many parts of Karnataka, helping elected representatives stay connected with local issues. Residents who attended Sunday’s interaction expressed hope that the directions issued to officials would translate into visible action in the coming weeks.
