Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on 19 November 2026. Rockstar Games has kept this date after previous delays. The game releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. No PC version has been announced yet, though some reports point to a possible launch in the first quarter of 2027.
Pre-loading begins on 12 November. Digital pre-order buyers can start downloading a full week before the official release. Physical copies also go on sale the same day, but the box contains only a download code instead of a disc. This gives players time to prepare their consoles before launch day.
GTA 6 Price, Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses
The Standard Edition of Grand Theft Auto VI costs $79.99. The Ultimate Edition is priced at $99.99. Anyone who buys the game before 20 November receives the Vintage Vice City Pack as a pre-order bonus. Digital pre-orders also include one free month of GTA+.
These editions have been available since late June. Many players have already placed their orders, and Rockstar continues to list the same prices on its official site and partner stores. The Ultimate Edition adds extra vehicles, weapons and items tied to the main characters’ story.
What Players Can Expect from GTA VI
The story takes place in the state of Leonida and brings players back to modern-day Vice City. It follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in a single-player crime narrative. Rockstar has described it as the biggest and most immersive entry in the series so far.

The studio released the official launch trailer in mid-October. It also shared details about in-game radio stations and a new soundtrack album.
The game carries a Mature 17+ rating from the ESRB. With less than a month left, fans are clearing space on their consoles and counting down the days to the pre-load window.
Rockstar has repeatedly confirmed the 19 November date on its website and in recent updates. After years of waiting and two delays, the return to Vice City is now just weeks away.
Players who pre-ordered can begin preparing on 12 November, while everyone else can buy the game on launch day. The long-awaited next chapter of Grand Theft Auto is finally close.
