On April 28, 2026, a Bhoomi Pooja and Shanku Sthapane (foundation stone laying ceremony) was held at the Government Lower Primary School in Keravada village, located in Alur Gram Panchayat, Dandeli Taluk, Uttara Kannada district. The project, sanctioned under the 2025-26 Taluk Panchayat Unconditional Grant Scheme, aims to strengthen education infrastructure in rural Karnataka.

The ceremony was organized with the support of the District Administration and the Zilla Panchayat Uttara Kannada, in collaboration with the Taluk Panchayat Dandeli. The new classroom construction is expected to provide a better learning environment for children in Keravada village, ensuring access to quality education at the grassroots level.

Karnataka Minister R V Deshpande tweeted about the occasion, appreciating the joint efforts of the Zilla Panchayat Uttara Kannada and Taluk Panchayat Dandeli.
