₹100 Crore Basavadhama IAS Centre Discussed at Hubballi Kaneri Math Meet

basawadhama center of excellence

A meeting in Hubballi on Monday, October 5, 2026, discussed a plan to build Basavadhama, a Centre of Excellence, at a cost of about ₹100 crore. Kaneri Math pontiff Sri Adrushya Kadasiddheshwar Swamiji chaired it. MLA C.C. Patil, Belagavi MP Jagadish Shettar and other prominent politicians and community leaders were present.

The stated aim is coaching for students from the state who want to sit the civil service exams, including IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS. Political leaders and education officials attended. The note on the meeting does not give a site, a start date, or a count of seats.

What was promised

Patil said the resources for the project would come from his side and from public support. That is a pledge at a meeting, not a tender. No government order on Basavadhama was public on Monday. Until a plot and a file number exist, the ₹100 crore is the figure they discussed, not money sanctioned.

Gadag BJP revealed the news with a Facebook Post on its official handle with a bunch of photographs.

Kaneri Math is at Siddhagiri in Kolhapur. The seer has a following in this belt, and the meeting was held in Hubballi, not at the math. The note calls the centre his dream project and says students in the region would get a training option they do not have now. It does not say the classes have begun.

According to the account of the meeting, the chair was the Kaneri Math seer, the local MLA present was C.C. Patil, and the sum on the table was about ₹100 crore. A household looking for a coaching seat cannot apply yet. The next fact that matters is an address.
