The book talks about what parents should keep in mind while raising children. It also looks at how childhood experiences affect a person’s thoughts, feelings and behaviour later in life. People at the event said parents should read it to understand these points better. Adults can also read it to see how their own early years have shaped them.

The book has come out in two editions. One uses English letters to write the Savji language. The other uses Kannada letters. The idea is to make the language easier for the next generation to read and to talk about the importance of childhood.

Office bearers and members of the trust committee took part in the programme. Many people from the Savji community were also present. The community sees the release of a book in the Savji language as a good step. They hope it will help parents and also keep the language alive among younger people.
