In Rhode Island, thousands of families will benefit from a budget plan passed in June 2022, which awards eligible families up to $750 in extra payments during October, but hurry up because the deadline to apply for the rebate is next week.
For each qualifying child, the households will be awarded $250, with a maximum of three children, which totals $750 per family, with around 115,000 homes expected to benefit from these rebates.
Governor Daniel McKee said in the past that support parents and their children are a critical way to keep the economy growing.

It’s very important that you file your taxes before August 31, 2022, or file for an extension, allowing you to file until October 17, 2022.
The qualifying children as dependents should be 18 years of age or younger by December 31, 2022.
How and when will you receive this tax rebate
Households now have less than a week to claim the rebate, and there’s no need to apply. Just file the income tax return by August 31, as the payments are expected to be issued starting in October 2021.
Those who filed for an extension till October will likely receive their tax rebates in December 2022.
The rebates will arrive as a check, meaning there’ll be no rebates issued as direct deposits.
