US Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump announced in a post on the social media platform Truth Social that he has agreed with FoxNews to debate Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th.

“The FoxNews Debate will be held in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at a site in an area to be determined. The Debate’s Moderators will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum,” he added.

“Rules will be similar to the rules of my debate with Sleepy Joe, who has been treated horribly by his party, but with a full arena audience,” the former President said, referring to President Joe Biden, who has dropped his reelection bid following his debate with Donald Trump.

Previously, the post also said that Trump would do “a major town hall gathering” on the same September 4th evening if for any reason “Harris is unwilling or unable to debate” on that date. However, this proposal was later deleted, and the post was reposted.

Previous Presidential Debate

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump had a Presidential debate earlier. However, Biden’s appalling performance in the debate pressured him to step down from the race. The 81-year-old President frequently gave confused answers and failed to call out Trump’s numerous falsehoods.

Following this, he passed the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris, who quickly gathered the support and backing of enough delegates to win the Democratic nomination.
