KLE College of Physiotherapy in Hubballi celebrated Durga Pooja and Dandiya on 17 October 2026. The programme started with a traditional pooja for Maa Durga. Students and staff took part in the prayer.
After the pooja, everyone moved to the Dandiya. The campus was filled with music and colour as students and teachers danced together. Many wore traditional clothes and enjoyed the evening.
Smt. Nanda V. Anegundi and Vice Principal Dr. Veena Bembalgi attended the event. Their presence made the occasion special for the students. Both guests joined the celebration and appreciated the organising team.
The college said the event celebrated the festival and brought students and staff together. Many students said it was a good break from studies and a chance to spend time with their classmates and teachers.
The programme ended on a happy note. The college regularly organises such events so that students can take part in traditional festivals on campus.
College Also Held Arthritis Awareness Camp Earlier This Month
Just a few days before the Durga Pooja celebration, the Department of Orthopaedic Physiotherapy at KLE College of Physiotherapy organised an Arthritis Awareness and Screening Camp on 12 October 2026 at KLE MRC Hospital in Gabbur, Hubballi. The camp was held to mark World Arthritis Day.
More than 100 people attended the camp. They received screening and basic guidance on joint health. Rheumatologist Dr. Mahendra Pauskar gave an awareness talk, while Dr. Sweta Kulkarni spoke about how physiotherapy can help manage arthritis. Students and staff also showed simple exercises that people can do at home.
Hospital and college officials, including Director Dr. M. G. Hiremath and Principal Dr. Prashant Mukkannavar, were present. The college and hospital often work together on such community programmes on the Gabbur campus in Hubballi.
The Durga Pooja and Dandiya event came shortly after this health camp, showing the college’s focus on both cultural activities and community health work in Hubballi.
