Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on November 19, 2026. It is only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch. There is no PC version announced yet.
The Standard Edition costs $79.99. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and adds extra vehicles, weapons, and apparel tied to the story. Pre-orders opened in June. Digital buyers can start pre-loading the game on November 12.
Jason and Lucia
The game follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. They are a criminal couple in a Bonnie and Clyde-style story. An easy score goes wrong and they get pulled into a conspiracy across the state of Leonida.
Jason is a former soldier who left the army on bad terms. Lucia is the first female lead in a mainline Grand Theft Auto game. Players can choose how close their relationship stays. They can stay partners in crime or keep things more distant.
The map and setting
The story takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar’s version of modern Florida. Vice City is back as the main city. The map also includes the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers wetlands, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park.
GTA 6 is reportedly a 210GB download on PS5 💾😳
That would make it the biggest PS5 game ever and by far the largest GTA. Rockstar and Sony haven’t confirmed the size yet, but it’s time to check your storage 👀

Rockstar has said the map is roughly twice the size of GTA 5 and much denser, with far more interiors. The game is rated Mature 17+.
Pre-order bonuses and launch details
Anyone who buys the game before November 20 gets the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders also include one free month of GTA+. Physical copies are download codes in a box with no disc.
Rockstar has delayed the game twice already. As of late October 2026, the November 19 date is still holding. The launch trailer dropped on October 15 and was captured on a base PS5.
GTA 6 is expected to be one of the biggest game launches in years. Pre-orders are open on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Rockstar’s own store.
